The power of being present

Who would have thought that because of the challenges I’ve encountered before, I will be nominated and will become Q3 Walk the Cooee Way Champion? It was such an honor to be appreciated and to be noticed by someone I never thought would do.

While hearing and reading the narrative made by my sister/frenemy, Crissy, my heart was jumping, my tears really want to go out, and many things were running in my mind. That was the time when my world seems to move slow.

All I can say to myself was, “Yeah! That’s what I did, I really did a great job!”

And I am very grateful first to God, because of unending strengths he is giving me, next is to my family that remains as my inspiration and motivation and lastly to those people who support me and seeing the best in me despite the failures and hardships.

It’s a great feeling to know that I’m creating a big impact to other people by just being me, by just living the values and applying all the things I’ve learned in my past years working with Cooee.

Never underestimate the power of being present. By facing challenges with full presence and awareness, challenges are not challenges at all. The secret? Mindfulness, it helps me bring that focus to myself during difficult times.

Being Authentic, I was able to learn when to ask help from other people when I can no longer carry the burdens. It’s not because I am weak, but because I want to remain strong.

Life is full of challenges. Some challenges seem enormous and harsh, but if you remain centered and full of awareness, no challenge is too big to meet with power and grace.

“God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”
